Premios Goya, el máximo galardón que otorga la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de España a lo mejor de su cinematografía. PREMIOS GOYA En 1985 el futuro de la cinematografía española atravesaba momentos de incertidumbre respecto a su futuro. Es en este contexto en el que el productor Alberto Matas convoca a una reunión a varias personalidades de la cinematografía española con el fin de debatir ciertos temas que causaban preocupación y para los cuales querían encontrar soluciones. Entre las personalidades que participaron los directores Luis García Berlanga y Carlos Saura, los directores de producción Marisol Carnicero y Tedy Villalba, los actores José Sacristán y Charo López, los montadores Pablo González del Amo y José Luis Matesanz, el guionista Manuel Matji, el músico José Nieto, el director de fotografía Carlos Suárez y el decorador Ramiro Gómez. Fue esa reunión y las ideas expuestas por cada uno de los participantes como se instituye, en 1986 a la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España (AACCE), miembro fundador de la Federación Iberoamericana de Academias de Cine (FIACINE). Una vez en pie, las bases de la academia, se le asigna a Jaime de Armiñan y Teo escamilla, la misión de preparar la primera edición de unos premios para la cinematografía española. Al principio barajaron diversos nombres como, Premios Lumière, Premios Buñuel o Soles, sin embargo se decantaron por el nombre del gran pintor español, GOYA. Uno de los argumentos que apoyaba esta decisión fu que, aparte de que GOYA fue un pintor mundialmente conocido además de ser uno de los iconos de la cultura española, es un nombre corto que se asemeja al nombre de otros premios de cinematografía como los Óscar o los César. A propósito del nombre, GOYA, el director Carlos Saura diría lo siguiente: "No tengo la menor duda de que si Goya viviera hoy sería un cineasta. Entre la ficción y el documental se movería nuestro aragonés con la misma energía y desenvoltura, con el mismo talento, con la misma imaginación con la que siglos atrás dedicó una parte de su vida a dibujar y a pintar. Amigo de “ilustrados”, amante de la música antes de su sordera, hombre preocupado por su tiempo, observador implacable de la realidad, apasionado por la vida y por un trabajo que era, al mismo tiempo, necesidad expresiva y crónica de su propia vida. Era un cineasta creativo y poderoso antes de inventarse el cine. FIACINE Women This is an initiative developed by FIACINE that began in 2017, and aims to achieve an important change in the film industry regarding gender equality, through the visibility of the work of women in the Ibero-American film industry. It also seeks to create actions that favor their participation in the sector. The starting points were the forums around this topic within the framework of the San Sebastian International Film Festival 2017 in Spain, which had the special participation of Anna Serner, spokesperson for the Swedish Film Institute and within the framework of the International Film Festival Film Festival of Cartagena (FICCI) of 2018 in Colombia. FIACINE WOMEN'S ANNUAL STUDY Participation of Women in the Ibero-American Film Industry The Federation announces these four studies carried out in collaboration with the academies that comprise it on the representation of women in the Ibero-American film industry. In the studies, the data referring to the participation of women in the different work specialties of the federated academies and of the premieres of Ibero-American films are unified and analyzed. One of the objectives is to generate actions to increase the intervention of women in fields that have historically been occupied by men. STUDY 2016 STUDY 2017 STUDY 2019 STUDY 2020 STUDY 2021 FIACINE Women in Short This initiative is part of the FIACINE Women campaign, and consists of each year, the academies that make up the federation select a short film headed by a female director, to represent her country in international screenings organized by FIACINE. This project is presented annually and travels through the different countries of Ibero-America whose academies are part of the federation. It is an initiative that seeks to make visible and highlight the work of female directors in Ibero-America.
